Words That Helped Me

Remember, we are all in this together

I love going to Barnes and Noble and finding little gems. This particular one I picked up for $3. In no way am I the perfect parent but it is always nice to have words of encouragement by my side. Here are some that I wanted to share:

  1. Your children will never stop surprising and challenging you.

  2. Parenting is biting off more than you can chew and then chewing it.

  3. Young children don't do tact. You will at some point face the public embarrassment of your child asking loud questions about someone's nose/weight/tattoo/lack of hair.

  4. You will feel pride at your children's new accomplishments, no matter how old they are.

  5. It's great for them to see you laughing every day, and occasionally crying.

  6. It's not as scary as you think

  7. You are not alone. Every other mother has gone out with cereal in her hair at some point.

  8. You deserve to be generous to yourself as well as your children.

  9. No one is judging your parenting as much as you are judging yourself.

  10. YOU WILL LEARN TO TRUST THAT YOU KNOW ENOUGH BUT HAVE THE CURIOSITY TO LEARN MORE.
